We stayed in Cres for two weeks and ended up visiting Bistro Melin three times — that says it all! The fish plate is absolutely marvelous, and every dish we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome every time. The restaurant has a traditional charm, with a warm, familiar atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. If you’re in Cres, I can highly recommend Bistro Melin — it’s a true gem!

We stopped by for dinner right after arriving to Cres. We called the restaurant in advance for reservations. They are multi-lingual (Italian, Croatian, German and English). The staff is friendly and professional at the same time. The owner showed us the kitchen and told the story of the family owned restaurant (all the staff was family). Our fish soup and scampi experience was so good that we came back the next day for a lunch. The scampi was very fresh, the owner showed them before grilling. You cannot go wrong from the menu, but I really recommend trying the scampi. I had it for the first time and the owner kindly explained how to eat properly. Great experience.

Delicious food in an authentic environment. Fresh local fish, and one of the best grilled calamari I ever had. The staff are super attentive - bread basket always topped up, offering to filet fish for us, always making sure we are happy with the food, etc. Definitely coming back every time I’m in Cres

I recently spent four days in Cres for a meeting, and during my stay, I had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Melin twice. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly brought me back was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are among the kindest and most genuine people I've met in Cres. They made me feel right at home. If you're looking for a memorable meal in a cozy and inviting setting, I highly recommend Bistro Melin. It's a true gem!

I was twice in this place with my teenage kids. I can strongly recommend restaurant Melin because of good food, kind and polite stuff and distant from downtown noise. Prices are reasonable, the sea food was better choice compared to the bbq and portions was sufficient and satisfying.

We had a wonderful dinner at Bistro Melin. The fish platter was outstanding – incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Sanjin made us feel truly welcome with his warm and friendly attitude. A genuinely authentic spot on Cres. Will definitely be back!
